Arctic Horizons is a small (actually one man!) company, offering private guided outdoor activities in Luosto, Lapland, since 2005.
One of the most important point when travelling to remote locations such as Lapland, is to enjoy the peace and beauty of the arctic nature, far away from the crowds, by yourself or just with a few family members or friends.
Therefore I decided to offer only private guided programs. Mainstream companies operate with groups of 12, 16, and sometimes more persons ! With Arctic Horizons, the size of the group is the size of your group! No crowd, no queues, just you and Lapland !
This concept also increases greatly the flexibility of our programs. You want to stop right here for a picture or a short break ? No problem. You would like to taste a specific dish for our lunch around the fire ? Let me know. You have some specific idea/project/dream ? Lets discuss about it !
My name is Pascal. I am 46 years old, born in France (in the Jura region, on the border with Switzerland) from a german mother and a french father. I have always loved hiking , camping, and the outdoors.
My first hike in Lapland dates back from 1991. I was immediately bewitched by the arctic world and came yearly after that in order to indulge this "addiction".
In 1998, after a 2 month gold pannig trip in the gold-bearing zones of central Lapland, I decided that it was finally time for me to settle down.
In 2000, I graduated from the finnish eräopas kurssi (finnish wilderness guide course), and started to work as a guide in the region of Luosto (first as an employee, then as a freelance guide).
I live now permanently in the region of Luosto, with my girlfriend, our daughter...
Mosku is an 10 years old alaskan malamute. He is a friendly, silent, and reliable hiking companion. He will join me every now and then (if it is ok with you).

in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover."
